Sirens of the Deep is the kind of animated fantasy that knows exactly how to move, even when the story itself feels familiar. The action is lively, the underwater setting gives it a clean visual hook, and Geralt’s return in the original voice is a genuine draw for fans who missed that specific version of the character.
What holds it back is the sense that the movie is content to remix better-known fairy-tale and fantasy ideas rather than build something surprising. The central conflict between land and sea has enough momentum to stay watchable, but the emotional beats and romance are predictable, and the tone can wobble between grim violence and almost kiddie-level whimsy.
As a standalone fantasy adventure, it’s fine. As a Witcher story, it feels more like a competent detour than an essential entry. If you’re already on board for the world, the animation and action make it easy enough to enjoy; if you’re hoping for something sharper or more original, this one may leave you wanting more.

I love The Witcher and I’ll watch anything to do with it gleefully. I just wish more of the adaptations were good. Nightmare of the Wolf was awesome. This is a little too Scooby Doo and Little Mermaid for me. Super cool they got the OG voice actor, though.
