Dead Man’s Chest is the rare giant studio sequel that feels genuinely ungovernable. Worth noting
The movie’s biggest asset is how committed it is to being weird. Sometimes it's just nice to watch a studio movie that was actually storyboarded. Front-to-back idiosyncratic design work and clever action, and just plain weird and gorgeous in a way movies this expensive really just aren't anymore.
