Dacoit
A polished but uneven revenge-romance thriller with strong chemistry, energetic craft, and a few effective emotional beats, but the plotting sounds overstuffed, twist-heavy, and ultimately thin on real payoff.

Dacoit looks built for momentum: betrayal, prison time, revenge, romance, robberies, and a steady attempt to keep the audience leaning forward. The response suggests it succeeds most when it trusts its leads and its technical polish, with editing, music, and chemistry doing a lot of the heavy lifting.
But the same reviews also point to a screenplay that keeps adding turns without earning them. The emotional setup seems promising, yet the film may never fully connect its personal vendetta to anything larger or more resonant, leaving it feeling more engineered than lived-in.
If you’re in the mood for a glossy, high-energy thriller that plays like a pulpy romance-drama with action trimmings, it should be watchable. If you want a revenge film with real bite, discipline, and thematic weight, this one may frustrate more than satisfy.

man, this is all surface and no depth, polished enough to keep you watching, hollow enough to leave you with nothing once it's over. the technical work is confident, the energy is there, but the screenplay keeps reaching for smart and landing on contrived, piling twist on forced twist until the climax collapses under its own weight. what could've been a film that actually interrogates why cycles of violence and betrayal exist stays locked inside personal grudges and individual choices, intensity without interrogation, revenge without meaning. Decent in parts, forgettable as a whole.

Short uncomplicated review. If Mrunal Thakur was my Juliet, then my Romeo self would ""martyr"" myself for her in a heartbeat. And. Would do it again. Just for her 😍. Long genuine review. This one is a flawed movie with a confusing structure that features moments which borderline feel like a Tiktok video from pre COVID era.ButThe movie has it's heart in the right place, it set out to Indianize the whole Bonnie and Clyde set up by… more

A decent romantic action drama thriller that stays engaging for the most part, though the story feels a bit predictable. The film delivers some solid emotional highs, with strong BGM and crisp editing enhancing key moments, while the cinematography and sound design add to its polished feel. Adivi Sesh fits the role well overall, but the Rayalaseema accent doesn’t always feel completely natural. Mrunal Thakur is terrific here, and the chemistry between them works well, adding emotional weight to the… more

An escaped convict puts aside his plans for an escape until he's able to achieve one goal that he has been manifesting his last decade behind bars - to get revenge on the ex-lover whose betrayal pinned down a crime that he didn't commit herself and a truth that got buried in a deceitful witness statement. When it seems like his Saraswati, aka his Juliet, is in dire need of an unbelievable amount of cash to save her husband's life,
If the appeal is controlled tension and payoff, this offers tighter writing and sharper escalation.
A smarter crime thriller that uses cat-and-mouse structure to add moral complexity to its action.
A period action drama with strong atmosphere, emotional force, and a revenge spine that feels more grounded.
If the twisty structure is the draw, this is a far sharper and more playful example of suspense construction.
For a lead-driven emotional arc that earns its catharsis through character rather than plot tricks.
A lean, high-tension action thriller that delivers momentum without relying on overcomplicated plotting.
A better model for controlled suspense, where every reveal feels carefully engineered and emotionally motivated.
For romance wrapped in longing, betrayal, and period texture, with a more lyrical emotional register.
A muscular action thriller with strong craft, propulsive pacing, and a sense of escalating stakes.
